There are many things one can say about Nepal: that it is a country celebrated for its incredible natural beauty, which attracts tourists from all over the world; that it is a poor country, with sanitary conditions, a political system, and a road network that are all in need of serious improvement; that it is a country with a dark past, a present filled with many shadows, and a future with great glimmers of light. And while all of these narratives may be true, what truly makes the difference is the dignity in the eyes of those who see and in the voice of those who tell the story.
